In most cases these are so-called "session cookies" that are deleted once you leave our website.

To an extent, however, these cookies also pass along information used to automatically recognize you. Recognition occurs through an IP address saved to the cookies. The information thereby obtained is used to improve our services and to expedite your access to the website.

You can prevent cookies from being installed by adjusting the settings on your browser software accordingly. You should be aware, however, that by doing so you may not be able to make full use of all the functions of our website.

- your Internet Protocol (IP) address.

These anonymous data are stored separately from any personal information that you may provide and so do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about a particular person. They are evaluated for statistical purposes in order to optimize our website and our offers.

Application process

In the following, we explain how we process your personal information in an application and provide other relevant information in this context.

For what purposes and on what legal basis do we process personal data?

We process personally identifiable information about you to your application for employment, to the extent necessary for the decision to establish employment with us. The legal basis is § 26 para. 1 in conjunction with para. 8 sent. 2 BDSG.

Furthermore, we may process personal data about you, as far as this is required to defend against asserted legal claims from the application process against us. The legal basis is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR, for example, the legitimate interest is a burden of proof in proceedings under the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG).

Insofar as employment arises between you and us, pursuant to § 26 (1) BDSG we may further process the personal data you have already received for employment purposes if this is necessary for the performance or termination of the employment relationship or for performance or fulfillment of required by a law or collective agreement, an operating or service agreement (collective agreement) and duties of employee representation.

Which categories of personal data do we process?

We process data related to your application. This may include general personal information (such as name, address and contact details), details of your qualifications and education, or CVET information, or other information that you provide to us regarding your application. Incidentally, we can process your publicly available job-related information, such as a profile in professional social media networks. We do not forward your data to third parties.

How long will your data be stored?

We store your personal information as long as this is necessary to decide on your application. Insofar as an employment relationship between you and us does not materialize, we may also continue to store data as far as necessary to defend against possible legal claims. The application documents will be deleted three months after notification of the rejection decision, unless a longer storage due to litigation is required. With your separate consent, we will store your data for up to 12 months from your consent to be able to take your application into consideration again, if necessary, for any later eligible positions.

As a user, you have the right to receive free information on request about which personal data has been stored about you. You also have the right to correct incorrect data and to restrict or delete your personal data. If applicable, you can also claim your right to data portability. Data stored by us, if they are no longer necessary for their purpose and there are no legal retention periods, will be deleted.
